“Crazy Jasper” Statement Collar, Beaded and Stitched by Hand

I hand-stitched the “Crazy Jasper” collar with strong, archival quality bead thread, which makes this an heirloom-quality piece of jewellery. No glue guns here!
I called this collar the “Crazy Jasper” collar because of its wild and free nature as much as to honour the Jasper stones that are at the heart of the piece.
This eclectic collar has an asymmetric yet balanced design that is very bohemian in nature.
The two focal cabochons are Strawberry Jasper (upper) and Ocean Jasper (lower).
The arms of the collar are comprised of various glass, stone, and metal beads and sequins stitched onto black faux leather (no plastic or resin beads).
The dramatic black fringe features various shades of grey and black glass seed beads and black glass crystals.
ADJUSTABLE: This collar is designed with features that allow it to adjust to your neck size. The collar portion is not one solid piece but is instead comprised of two sections on each side, and those sections are “hinged” together with strands of beads, allowing them to contract or expand to fit your neck width. Also, the necklace is finished with a 2-inch extension chain, and the hooked clasp can hook into the beaded loop or into a loop on the extension chain.
The hook clasp and extension chain are plated metal.
The collar was hand-beaded and hand-stitched by me. The backing is faux (vegan) leather (last photo).
The central section is 5.25 inches (30cm) long (from the top of the Strawberry Jasper cabochon to the bottom of the fringe).
