Desert Cyclone

“Desert Cyclone” – Scenic Jasper Pendant, Beaded and Stitched by Hand

Status: Available in my Etsy Shop

This pendant has a casual Southwest look to it, just the perfect thing to wear with with a wooly jumper and boots this winter.

The focal stone is a variation of jasper nicknamed “scenic jasper”. The swirls and striations of the different mineral components resemble landscape or seascape scenes. I think that this one looks like a cyclone storm over a desert landscape.

The stone is attached to blue-grey faux leather, which shows at the edges of the stone. A hand-beaded bail in complementary tones of copper, blue, and pewter attaches the Jasper to the cork cord.

The stone is fringed with cascade seed beads, light green aventurine beads, red jasper beads, chinese jade stone chips, and bronze fire-polished beads

The blue-grey cord is made from cork from Portugal, has a cotton inner core and cotton thread, and is totally vegan. It feels and looks remarkably like leather and is strong and water resistant. The cord is 21.5 inches (55cm) long, plus a 3-inch stainless steel, hypoallergenic extension chain.

The lobster clasp is stainless steel and hypoallergenic.

The seed beads are Japanese glass seed beads.

The pendant was hand-beaded and hand-stitched by me.

The blue-grey backing is faux leather.
