Fossil Coral / Pyrite Ammonite Pendant, Beaded and Stitched by Hand

The top stone is Madagascan fossilized coral. The skeletons of the coral appear as tiny “flowers” on the stone. This is a very rare and highly prized stone, which was cut by a professional UK lapidary artist.
Suspended from the coral is a rare Drusy Pyrite Ammonite from northern Russia. The rainbow pyrite chambers are due to the minerals present in the sediment.
The beads are Japanese glass seed beads.
The pendant was hand-beaded and hand-stitched by me.
The backing is faux leather.
The cord is made from cork from Portugal, has a cotton inner core and cotton thread, and is totally vegan. It feels and looks remarkably like leather and is strong and water resistant. The cord is 21.5 inches (55cm) long, plus a 3-inch stainless steel, hypoallergenic extension chain.
The lobster clasp is stainless steel and hypoallergenic.
The chain connecting the coral and ammonite is plated metal.
