Queen Anne’s Lace

Queen Anne’s Lace, Mixed Media Collar, Beaded and Stitched by Hand

Status: Available in my Etsy Shop

I hand-stitched this collar with strong, archival quality bead thread, which makes this an heirloom-quality piece of jewellery. No glue guns here!

Adjustable to any neck size.

The collar features a hand-textured, copper umbellifer flower surrounded with a peyote-stitch beaded bezel. The copper flower rests on a fabric base, which has been constructed of three layers (gold lame, Indian lace, and silk organza). The seed beads are Japanese glass seed beads.

The body of the collar is 5.5 inches wide (at its widest point) and 6.5 inches long (at its longest point, including fringe).
.
The fringe (an eclectic mix of beads, threads, and charms) has been securely hand-stitched to the faux suede backing.

The cord is made from cork from Portugal, has a cotton inner core and cotton thread, and is totally vegan. It feels and looks remarkably like leather and is strong and water resistant. The cord is 14 inches (35.5cm) long, plus a 5-inch (13cm) stainless steel extension chain.

The lobster clasp is lead-free and nickel-free.

The black backing is faux suede.
